Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes unit seeks a Director, Cyber Defense in Raynham, MA to lead global incident response, threat management, and cyber resiliency efforts. This hybrid role oversees a modern SOC and cross-functional collaboration with IT, Legal, Privacy, and Quality teams.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years in cybersecurity leadership, proven experience in regulated environments, and superb executive communication to steer risk-informed decisions at the highest level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Business Administration is preferred.
• 10–12 years of progressive cybersecurity or IT risk management experience with leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale incident response and threat management programs.
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, life sciences, MedTech) is preferred.
• Excellent executive communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global incident response, digital forensics, and threat intelligence capabilities.
• Build an automation- and AI-first Security Operations Center model with MSSP and internal team.
• Direct complex investigations with rapid containment and post-incident reporting.
• Develop and test incident response playbooks and crisis management procedures.
• Partner with IT, Legal, Privacy, Quality, and business leaders on incidents and compliance.
• Oversee threat intelligence to identify threats and deliver executive briefs.
• Lead tabletop exercises and readiness assessments to improve response maturity.
• Establish executive metrics for MTTA, MTTR, MTTC to track cyber resilience.
