Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. seeks an experienced Compliance (OBIE) Business Partner to lead and continually improve Vertex’s Compliance Program globally from the OBIE.

You will advise US and Global teams on laws, anti-corruption, and regulatory matters, partnering across Legal, HR, Internal Audit and Strategy. The role requires 8–10 years post-JD experience, excellent communication, and the ability to influence across management levels.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years post-JD experience in biotech/pharma.
• Strong ability to communicate sound advice to lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, False Claims Act, anti-kickback statutes, and PhRMA Code.

Responsibilities

• Advise Global and US business on initiatives balancing strategy, risk, and integrity.
• Serve as Compliance representative on leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate on trainings and communications on Compliance policies and risk areas.
• Keep current on laws, regulations, and enforcement actions in the US and globally.
