Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience, with compensation as a primary strength.
• Demonstrated leadership in a complex, matrixed organization and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience designing/leading pay-for-performance and incentive programs.
• Benefits leadership including vendor oversight, plan performance, and cost management (US/global).
• Executive presence to advise senior leaders through ambiguity and change.

LaSalle Network is partnering with our client, a global leader in the logistics space, to hire a Director, Global Benefits and Compensation to help build and scale a high-impact Total Rewards function in a rapidly growing team.

This Director, Global Benefits and Compensation opportunity is based in Itasca, IL and offers a hybrid work environment, strong visibility, and meaningful influence with senior leadership.

In this role, the Director, Global Benefits and Compensation will lead a compensation-first agenda, driving pay-for-performance, executive compensation support, and global benefits strategy while strengthening programs, governance, and vendor partnerships during a major growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Assess current compensation structures and identify opportunities to streamline programs, processes, and governance.
• Develop and execute a compensation roadmap with clear project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead and influence pay-for-performance programs, incentive initiatives (short- and long-term), and data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Support executive compensation strategy, including leadership advising and board-related compensation activities.
• Provide strategic oversight of U.S. and global benefits strategy, including plan design, cost management, and vendor performance.
• Partner on major compensation and benefits technology/vendor initiatives, including implementation planning and accountability.
• Operate as a player-coach leader, remaining hands-on while developing and elevating an existing team in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience, with compensation as a primary strength.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a complex, matrixed organization and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience designing and/or leading pay-for-performance and incentive compensation programs.
• Benefits leadership experience, including vendor oversight, plan performance, and cost management (U.S. and/or global).
• Executive presence and the ability to advise senior leaders through ambiguity, change, and competing priorities.
• Highly data-driven approach, comfortable using analytics to shape strategy and decisions.
• Experience supporting executive compensation and partnering on compensation governance activities.

Key Details

• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Compensation: $200,000-225,000 annually
