Go Fish Digital is seeking a Director of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to lead a portfolio of enterprise and growth-stage clients. You will blend SEO, AI-driven strategies, content, and entity optimization to create measurable, high-impact programs and roadmaps.

You’ll guide teams, align clients with leaders, and raise work quality across GEO engagements. You will own senior client relationships, translate changes in AI search into practical recommendations, and help build repeatable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital PR, or related discipline with demonstrated client strategy leadership.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, information retrieval, structured data, topical authority, and how LLM-powered search surfaces information.
• Familiarity with generative search platforms and evolving user discovery and evaluation of brands.
• Ability to turn ambiguous platform changes and data into focused strategies, priorities, and next steps.
• Balance innovation with disciplined measurement using experimentation and evidence to prove value.

Responsibilities

• Lead GEO strategy for a portfolio of enterprise and growth-stage clients, aligning AI-search opportunities with business goals.
• Translate GEO frameworks into practical roadmaps across technical SEO, content, Digital PR, structured data, and entity optimization.
• Design experiments to test visibility, citations, and authority in generative search experiences.
• Partner with SEO, Content, Digital PR, Analytics, and Product teams to deliver integrated programs.
• Identify AI search platform changes and turn signals into actionable client recommendations.
• Set high bar for strategic quality, prioritization, and documentation across GEO engagements.
• Own senior-level client relationships and explain complex changes in search behavior.
• Guide account teams through planning, delivery, and performance conversations tied to client objectives.
• Review GEO deliverables, roadmaps, and reporting for clarity and actionability.
• Help turn pilots into repeatable initiatives and case studies.
• Manage GEO Senior Managers and Strategists, building judgment and ownership.
• Create workflows, briefs, and quality standards for scalable execution.
• Collaborate with discipline leads to embed GEO best practices.
• Support resource planning and staffing for GEO programs.
