Job summary

Midtown Manhattan Hedge Fund is seeking a Director of Fund Accounting to lead month-end close, shadow accounting, and governance across multiple funds. The role partners with internal teams and external administrators to deliver NAV and regulatory reporting, while driving process improvements and automation as the firm scales.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in fund accounting or related fields and at least 5 years of people management, with a track record of implementing automation and AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of: public accounting (financial services preferred), hedge fund accounting, fund administration, or investment management accounting.
• 5+ years of experience directly managing people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close for funds and broker-dealer entities.
• Shadow accounting and oversight of fund administrator relations.
• Manage cash, controls, and governance across funds.
• Handle investor allocations, fees, and external deliverables to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory reporting and audits.
