Job summary

Public School is a creative studio inside the Czarnowski Collective. The Director of FP&A – Public School is the senior finance leader embedded in the studio and the primary financial partner to its leadership team.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role owns the studio's forecast, annual operating plan, and long-range outlook, and is accountable for the analytical rigor behind how Public School prices work, staffs it, delivers it, and makes money on it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 8+ years FP&A / corporate finance experience, including leadership.
• Own divisional P&L with budget, forecast, and long-range planning.
• Hands-on project-based or job-cost accounting and margin management.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with ERP and BI tools.
• Able to partner with non-financial leaders and present clear financial narratives.

Responsibilities

• Own the division P&L forecast, annual operating plan, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range plan.
• Model revenue, headcount, and capacity; defend a single, defensible view.
• Drive pricing, rate card strategy, and project economics across agency and production.
• Lead FP&A team; provide decision-support in pitches, resourcing, and profitability reviews.
• Oversee job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and post-project variance analysis.
• Deliver standardized, auditable management reporting with KPI definitions.
