The Director of Auxiliary Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the college’s auxiliary enterprises, including leased properties, dining and retail services, and vendor partnerships. This role is responsible for ensuring auxiliary operations are financially sustainable, responsive to campus needs, and aligned with long-term institutional goals. A key focus of the position is evolving current service models, including but not limited to dining and bookstore operations to maintain viability, improve student experience, and adapt to changing market conditions.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Campus Operations.
The salary range for this position is $84,536 - $93,445 annually.
This position is open until filled. First consideration will be given to applicants whose complete application has been received by August 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST. The College will conduct initial interviews with selected candidates via Zoom and will conduct on-campus interviews with finalists.
Strategic Leadership: Apply forward-thinking judgment to evaluate evolving conditions, identify opportunities, and guide decisions that support long-term organizational success. Align strategic direction with institutional priorities while balancing operational realities, stakeholder needs, and future sustainability;
Budgeting/Financial Management: Apply financial and business acumen to assess operational performance, evaluate resource needs, and support fiscally responsible decision-making. Analyze financial information, weigh trade-offs, and identify strategies that strengthen sustainability and long-term viability;
Change Management: Lead organizational change by evaluating current conditions, anticipating future needs, and guiding others through transitions with clarity and purpose. Build support for new approaches, navigate resistance effectively, and help implement sustainable improvements;
Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and effectively across diverse audiences, translating complex operational, financial, and strategic information into actionable understanding. Build relationships, facilitate productive dialogue, and support collaboration through active listening, negotiation, and clear messaging;
Decision Making: Evaluate complex information, consider competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in selecting effective courses of action. Assess risks, opportunities, and long-term impacts to support informed decisions that align with institutional goals;
Project Management: Organize and guide multiple concurrent initiatives by establishing priorities, coordinating resources, and maintaining focus on desired outcomes. Adapt plans as needed, anticipate challenges, and ensure progress toward successful completion across competing demands;

This is a full-time, overtime exempt, administrative staff position. The typical work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, work hours may vary due to work demands and some evening and weekend work may be required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including having the ability to move materials on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. and travel between buildings on campus. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
Work environment includes office and other settings as appropriate. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises. Some travel may be required.
