Job summary

Tory Burch is seeking a Director of Product Development, Footwear to lead development, sourcing, costing, and production of footwear collections from concept through production. You will partner with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Materials, Production, Quality and Global Sourcing to meet quality, performance and margin goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years of experience in footwear product development, sourcing, and/or production.
• Experience with PLM or other product lifecycle management systems.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all product development activities with Design, Materials, Merchandising, Tech, and Global Sourcing.
• Assess and approve engineering of new constructions; resolve technical issues.
• Review and oversee specs (BOMs/tech packs) for accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Pass off clean specs to manufacturing partners; communicate with overseas offices.
• Ensure PLM data integrity for KPI reporting.
• Review prototypes and market samples for execution to spec.
• Maintain brand standards across components and constructions.
• Approve colors and materials; address variances with vendors and Merchandising.
• Escalate critical matters to Sr. Director and VP for timely resolution.
