Job summary

Nippon Sanso MATHESON is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage Applications to plan, direct, and manage strategies that grow sales of gas applications for equipment and food-grade industrial and packaged gas products. You will lead application specialists and manufacturing staff across design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and post-installation service.

The role requires 8-10 years of experience, a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (advanced degree preferred), and

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
• Conceptual understanding of industrial gas products, production, and handling.
• Hands on knowledge of cryogenics, and food freezing and chilling applications and equipment.
• Familiarity with modified atmospheres and associated equipment for food packaging.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, manage, and implement Food & Beverage gas applications strategies to grow equipment and food grade gas sales.
• Lead a team of application specialists and manufacturing shops with responsibility for technical and commercial aspects of the equipment sales, design and engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and post-installation service.
• Manage profitability of equipment manufacturing operations including budget, inventory, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing to promote capabilities including website content, customer presentations, brochures, and training packages.
• Prepare technical and commercial equipment sale and lease proposals.

Job description

Director, Food & Beverage Applications plans, directs, manages, and implements the Food & Beverage gas applications strategies to grow application equipment and food grade industrial and packaged gas sales to achieve Matheson financial, operational, safety, and quality objectives.

Lead a team of application specialists and manufacturing shops personnel with direct responsibility for technical and commercial aspects of the Food & Beverage application equipment technical sales, design and engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and post-installation service.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage profitability of equipment manufacturing operations, including budget requirements, inventory, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to promote Matheson’s Food & Beverage application capabilities within Matheson and with customers, including developing website content, customer presentations, sales brochures, and application training packages.
• Perform application equipment and associated services product management, collaborate with business teams to ensure competitive and profitable equipment and services pricing, prepare technical and commercial equipment sale and lease proposals.
