Job summary

University Health is seeking a Director to oversee the process and day-to-day management of admissions and patient registration locations at University Hospital and offsite Health System locations. The role requires expert knowledge of insurance/payer options and a patient-centered approach, aligned with the University Health Commitment to Service Excellence.

Responsibilities include leading admissions operations, ensuring efficient ADT-related workflows, and promoting strong customer relations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or health care management or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of insurance and third party payer options and benefits.
• Four years supervisory experience in health care/hospital setting is required.
• Experience with payor plans, policies, regulations and prior authorization/financial clearance.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, Patient Access, the Director is responsible for the process and day-to-day management of admissions and patient registration locations at University Hospital and/or, offsite Health System locations. Comprehensive knowledge in Patient Access functions with a result both oriented and patient-centered focus. Supports the strategic vision of the organization. A personal commitment to treat all University Health’s customers with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism and adherence to the University Health Commitment to Service Excellence behaviors and standards. Promotes the University Health Customer Relation’s policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Care/Hospital Management or equivalent degree is required. Expert knowledge of insurance and third party payer options and benefits is required. Four years supervisory experience in health care/hospital setting is Required. Experience in a Health System’s ADT is preferred. Knowledge of personnel, administrative and financial procedures and practices, as well as principles, techniques, terminology and procedures of sound management is required. Experience with computer business applications is essential. Knowledge of payor plans, polices, regulations and prior authorization/financial clearance experience is required.
