Job summary

RSM US LLP in Houston is seeking an experienced Director for our Finance Transformation and Automation practice. This role leads growth, client delivery, and the development of solutions across accounting, finance process advisory, architecture, technology implementation, and AI.

You will oversee a team of consultants from strategy to execution, manage pre-sales and engagements, and mentor staff. The position requires 30% travel and strong leadership, with CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting and/or performance improvement consulting.
• Strong leadership skills and executive presence.
• Consulting or Professional Services firm experience with pre-sales/sales experience.
• Artificial intelligence acumen and experience.
• Strong understanding of financial data, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and draw meaningful insights.
• Experience working with multiple clients.
• Corporate or industry accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with operational process reviews and internal control requirements.
• Ability to translate complex issues into actionable project steps and solutions.
• Strong communication and independent work ethic.
• Travel expectations 30% or greater.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth and go-to-market strategy for practice offerings.
• Lead and/or participate in all aspects of sales cycles.
• Serve as a first-choice advisor to key client stakeholders.
• Lead finance transformation projects, including solution architecture and implementation oversight.
• Train and advise clients in the leading use of technology solutions to address organizational needs with strong financial and business acumen.
• Train and mentor staff/project teams.
• All engagements require process analysis/optimization, documentation, project management skills and the ability to work in collaborative teams.
