Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the monthly financial review processes with reporting, analysis of variances and action planning through monthly business reviews to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  2. Prepare general month-end close journal entries as well as various balance sheet account reconciliations and review for accuracy as well as meet appropriate timelines.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver clear financial reports and KPI’s in a timely manner.
  4. Prepare and execute the financial planning process, budget, quarterly forecasts.
  5. Develop and optimize financial systems to improve their effect on financial reporting.
  6. Develop labor and overhead rates on a yearly basis.
  7. Review inventory balances and manufacturing variances to ensure accuracy.
  8. Perform financial analysis for special projects and provide recommendations.
  9. Prepare reporting of risk and contingency to ensure transparency.
  10. Lead, mentor, develop and evaluate performance of accounting staff by providing consistent and timely feedback while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  11. Lead all financial-related audit activities as well as appropriately coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Develop and execute an effective capital policy as well as continuously evaluate new capital requirements and provide guidance to the project prioritization.
  13. Ensure department policies and procedures are compliant with current financial, legal and regulatory requirements.
  14. Be an ambassador for the site’s leadership behaviors of accountability.
  15. Additional responsibilities as the Company may also assign.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting.
  2. At least 12 years operational finance experience in manufacturing operations.
  3. Proven people leader with demonstrated ability to develop and grow capability in individuals and teams. Minimum 10 years of management experience.
  4. Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  5. Strong working knowledge of financial and non-financial metrics and product costing.

Accounting Skills and Knowledge

  1. Exposure to Manufacturing ERP as well as Cost Accounting is a plus.
  2. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (expert or near-expert skill level), Word and Power Point.
  3. Advanced skills in usage of SAP ERP-System.
  4. Firm knowledge of accounting principles and controlling methods.
  5. Enterprise mindset to ensure the right prioritization for the site.
  6. Excellent influencing/collaboration skills and teamwork mindset.
  7. Identifying and communicating risks in area of responsibility and across the site.
  8. Creating strategies and plans to manage risk within Finance.

Physical Requirements

  1. In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.
  2. Physical and visual ability to use computer for extended periods of time.
