Job summary

Tempo Communications, Inc. seeks a hands-on Senior Product Leader to own instrument and field-tool categories. You will decide what to build, in what order, with P&L responsibility and direct reporting to the CEO.

This is an on-site role at our Vista, California headquarters. You will manage four product line managers, define development plans, and defend a multi-year roadmap. Own stage-gate discipline, measure launches by revenue and margin, and ensure timely field deployment.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in product management or product line management.
• Own a product line P&L including pricing and margin.
• Proven ability to build and defend business cases and rank funnel on financial merit.
• Substantive experience inside a formal stage‑gate or phase‑gate process.
• Market sizing and segmentation work you had to defend.
• Fluency reading a business from its data: SKU-level margin and mix, price realization, and launch performance against plan.
• Ability to specify a product to engineering and to an overseas contract manufacturer with technical depth.
• Experience mentoring product managers and willingness to travel 25‑30%.

Responsibilities

• Own how Tempo decides what to build, in what order, and why.
• Lead four product line managers; carry one category yourself and ship decisions.
• Build a multi-year roadmap with continuity of technology behind it.
• Own NP&SI stage-gate process end to end with defined deliverables.
• Own revenue, margin, and vitality index against plan and report cadence.
• Set development plans, coach on business case construction and market analysis.
• Develop a deeper bench than you inherit.
