Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Field Reimbursement Associate Director - Northwest to optimize patient access for the US Oncology Business Unit. You will serve as a subject matter expert for reimbursement, educate providers on coverage and prior authorizations, and work with cross-functional teams to navigate payer environments and enhance patient access.

This field-based role reports to the Director, Field Reimbursement Lead - West, with responsibilities across the Northwest geography.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in biotech/pharma with 4+ years in patient access or reimbursement in oncology
• 2+ years of buy and bill experience
• Strong communicator, translating complex concepts clearly
• Ability to travel 50-75% and reside near Northwest geography

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient access subject matter expert for USOBU therapies in assigned geography
• Educate on payer coverage, prior authorizations, step edits, appeals, and reimbursement pathways
• Collaborate with HUB, Strategic Account Management, Sales, and Market Access to optimize access and experience
• Identify and escalate patient access issues with internal and external stakeholders
• Update providers on Rx status, eligibility, and patient support options
• Develop strategies to address access needs for targeted customers
• Support onboarding new accounts by assessing workflows and reimbursement challenges
• Monitor evolving payer landscape and coverage changes in oncology
