Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco is seeking a Director, Field Force Effectiveness to define and build analytical frameworks that measure the impact of customer-facing teams. Reporting to the Senior Director, Insights & Analytics, this individual contributor will guide field engagement measurement using advanced data and cross-functional collaboration to inform leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, business, or life sciences discipline.
• 8–10+ years of experience in commercial analytics or field effectiveness in pharma/biotech.
• Deep expertise in field force measurement, KPI design, and subnational analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve field force measurement strategies aligned to brand goals.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to track field execution and opportunities.
• Oversee analytics models and dashboards translating field activity into insights.
• Partner with omnichannel and digital teams to align touchpoints.
• Perform subnational diagnostics to guide sales leadership.
• Advance methodologies to innovate field effectiveness measurements.
• Collaborate with Brand Analytics, Incentive Compensation, Field Resource Optimization, and Digital Technology teams.
• Present complex findings clearly to senior leadership.
