Job summary

City of New York’s Housing Preservation and Development agency seeks a Director for Federally Assisted Portfolio Preservation Programs. You will lead a team of deputy directors, senior and project managers, directing HUD Multifamily and Year 15 transactions to preserve affordability across NYC portfolios.

You will collaborate with the Executive Director, manage budgets, forecast expenditures, and ensure compliance while advancing policy and program improvements in a fast-paced municipal

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant real estate or housing program experience.
• Executive/managerial experience, including at least 18 months in a supervisory role.
• Experience in financing, negotiations or disposition of real estate or related housing programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Director to lead a team of Deputy Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Project Managers.
• Track HUD Multifamily and Year 15 transactions and manage city funding budgets.
• Coordinate budget forecasting, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Prepare development budgets, pro formas, and affordability analyses.
• Represent the agency at community meetings and interagency groups.
