Job summary

The People Concern in Santa Monica/Downtown LA seeks a Director of Facilities Operations to lead maintenance, custodial services, and site safety across agency facilities. You will supervise managers and staff, oversee budgets, and ensure reliable, compliant operations that support clients and staff in a high-demand environment.

You will coordinate with external vendors, implement preventive maintenance, and maintain thorough records to support funding requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Able to use computers for word processing, data management, and telecommunications.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience supervising staff and scheduling routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and custodial staff and supervise Facilities Maintenance Managers.
• Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance across multiple sites.
• Develop work orders, track progress, and ensure timely completion within budget.
• Oversee budget, vendor relationships, and contract coordination with outside providers.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and ensure adherence to codes and safety rules.
