Job summary

University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia seeks a Director of Facilities Operations, Planning, and Projects to serve as the senior administrator and SME for ASC facilities, maintenance, and capital projects.

The role provides counsel to the CFO/Exec Director and collaborates with cross-functional teams on master planning, space reconfigurations, and renovations to align with the school’s strategic vision and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operations including maintenance, repairs, renovation, housekeeping, safety and security for facilities and grounds to ensure a well-maintained physical plant and optimal service delivery.
• Coordinate with university operations departments to ensure proper building function, including HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, utilities, elevators, safety systems, and signage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic direction for master planning, space planning, and renovations aligned with ASC goals.
• Oversee capital project formation, scope development and budget estimates, and support effective use of facility resources for research and education.
• On-call 24/7 for facility emergencies and essential operations, with non-hybrid eligibility.
