Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a senior technology leader to define and drive the technical strategy for the Experience Management Platform. You will lead engineers and engineering managers, owning architecture, roadmap, and non-functional standards across EG brands.

You will guide modernization efforts, establish KPIs, and influence senior leaders to align roadmaps and resources. The role demands deep domain expertise and a track record in large-scale systems with AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of software experience and 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for domain- or organization-scale platforms.
• Proven ownership of complex distributed systems, with strong architecture, design, and data modeling skills.
• Experience leading through engineering managers and senior engineers, driving execution and operational excellence in large-scale environments.
• Experience with AI-driven systems and applying AI/ML concepts in production software or platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical strategy for the Experience Management Platform.
• Lead a team of engineers and engineering managers building next-generation experience orchestration.
• Own architecture, roadmap, and non-functional standards for experience management tools across brands.
• Drive modernization from legacy services to scalable architecture with agentic capabilities.
• Define domain vision and establish operational excellence mechanisms (goals, scorecards, reviews).
• Use data to set direction, define domain KPIs, and ensure ROI.
• Influence Directors and VPs to align roadmaps and resources.
• Develop leaders of leaders and build a high-performing organization through change.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes.
