Grounds for Sculpture seeks a Director of Exhibitions and Collections Management to lead planning and execution of interior and exterior exhibitions and installations. The role shapes inclusive design and responsible stewardship across rotating and outdoor collections, coordinating with diverse partners and advancing grant-driven conservation efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in museum registration and collections management with ethical stewardship.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to accessibility and inclusiveness.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, and implement all activities related to changing exhibitions and installations.
• Develop, propose, and manage the Curatorial Department's annual budget.
• Coordinate safe transport of artworks locally, nationally, and internationally with the Registrar.
• Support the curator with development and production of new works for exhibitions.
• Partner with CFO and insurer to maintain fine art insurance and incident reports.
• Engage and supervise external vendors and contractors for exhibition needs.
• Foster cross-departmental communication on upcoming projects.
• Manage image rights and reproduction requests for collections and exhibitions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of the collection in physical records and databases.
• Identify and prepare conservation and collection care for grant opportunities.
• Monitor spaces with routine inspections for safety and condition of artworks.
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage exhibition and collection contracts; advise others as needed.
• Draft policies related to collection care and conservation practices.
• Oversee production of exhibition texts, signage, catalogs, and digital materials for accessibility.
• Advise on social media content and public communications for exhibitions.
• Occasionally give public talks or presentations to engage members and the community.
