Job summary

The Skirball Cultural Center seeks an experienced Exhibitions Manager to coordinate all aspects of temporary and traveling exhibitions. Reporting to the Deputy Director, this role involves managing schedules, budgets, contracts, and coordinating with curators, registrars, preparators, designers, and external partners throughout installation and travel phases.

This position requires at least 5 years in exhibition management within a museum setting, strong communication, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of exhibition management experience in a museum setting.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and calendars with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee temporary and traveling exhibitions from concept to installation.
• Draft and review exhibition contracts.
• Develop and track exhibition budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with curators, registrars, preparators, designers, and fabricators.
• Serve as courier to ensure proper care and handling of objects during installations.
