Job summary

WTW is seeking a Director to lead executive compensation consulting initiatives in the United States. You will oversee marquee client projects, shape incentive and equity-based designs, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with senior colleagues on complex engagements.

You will manage client expectations, draft SOWs and budgets, and drive innovative compensation strategies across total rewards, benchmarking, and pay-for-performance alignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of executive compensation consulting or related experience.
• Experience designing incentive and equity-based compensation programs.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving situations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering superior, consistent project management for multiple, marquee clients.
• Drafting statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams.
• Serving as the day-to-day project lead, ensuring progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.
• Leveraging to and managing the work of junior staff, providing coaching and on-going feedback.
• Operating as the key contact to clients on delivery of services; managing client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Senior Consultants.
• Collaborating and contributing to the development, design and implementation of compensation programs that include total rewards strategy, competitive benchmarking, annual and long-term incentive plan design, employment contract review, change-in-control agreements, overall competitive pay analysis and pay-for-performance alignment.
• Contributing to the development of new tools and approaches.
• Supporting the generation of new business as part of the broader team by:
• Assisting with new business development activities.
• Participating in discovery discussions with prospects and developing / delivering proposals.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with clients to understand their business and issues to better inform our consulting and to expand WTW's relationship into new service areas.
