Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Director of Environmental Services to lead the Housekeeping Department in a hospital setting. You will coordinate the Assistant Directors and Operations Managers and serve as a liaison between administration and clinical departments.

The role requires a four-year college degree with healthcare housekeeping management experience; manage budgets, monitor expenditures, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree and/or equal related experience required.
• Six years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
• Must be able to analyze and interpret financial and other data.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Public speaking skills
• Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff, to organize and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements

• Proficient in Windows-based Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead all aspects of the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department.
• Coordinate tasks of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers; liaison between administration and hospital departments.
• Monitor unit expenditures and department budget to ensure operations stay within budget.
• Develop and implement department policies and procedures for operations.
• Plan, organize, direct, and supervise department functions and activities.
• Establish work standards and workflows; mentor staff for continuous improvement.
• Communicate proactively with administration and other hospital departments.
• Read, develop, and administer Total Quality Management processes.
• Maintain job descriptions for department staff and encourage education programs.
