Job summary

BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Compliance. You will lead the department, oversee high‑volume projects, and ensure timely, defensible reports for clients across commercial and industrial sectors.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, Phase I/II ESAs experience, and strong leadership. Bachelor’s in a technical field is required; master’s preferred; PE/PG/CHMM encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical environmental field required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in geotechnical or environmental consulting with leadership experience.
• 3+ years of team leadership in a consulting or corporate setting.
• Professional registrations (PE/PG/CHMM) strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state environmental regs (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environmental Services Department with a focus on due diligence and compliance service lines.
• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of environmental professionals across multiple project types and experience levels.
• Oversee workload allocation, training, performance reviews, and hiring.
• Promote technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
• Oversee the execution and quality of Phase I ESAs (ASTM E1527-21) and Phase II investigations.
• Manage transactional due diligence for real estate, mergers & acquisitions, and refinancing.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate, defensible reports to clients and lawyers.
