Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Business Applications Director to lead enterprise-wide IT transformation across Finance, Supply Chain, and HR systems. Qualifications

• Master's Degree. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
• Bachelor's degree and ten years of experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
• Masters degree and eight years of experience,
• Ten years of professional work experience.
• Five years of experience managing a team.
• Three years of experience leading system wide initiatives.
• Demonstrated skill at bringing order to ideas and processes and communicating complex business concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Demonstrated proficiency at solving complex problems including interpretation of data from multiple data sources and multiple data structures.
• Demonstrated ability to think and plan on a broad, strategic level and ability to process information and details on a micro level.
• Demonstrated experience in hands on application management, design, configuration, maintenance, and support for Finance, or Supply Chain, or HR systems.
• Demonstrated general understanding of programming principles/philosophy.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, and analytical skills.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Manages the strategy, planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and deploying of large scale business system solutions for the assigned functional area.
• Oversees management of smaller business system solutions for assigned functional area.
• Has overall accountability for a team. Supervises managers and/or team members and develops competencies.
• Ensures there is an adequate management succession plan in place.
• Develops, implements and maintains project plans and guiding documentation such as configuration management, risk management, change control, status reports and communication plans.
• Consults with business leaders to strategize for various functions and future state processes and promotes standardization to reduce cost.
• Leads contract administration for external software system and consultant SOW.
• Initiates or participates in RFP processes and builds analyses for software solutions.
• Provides guidance for lights on and enhancements for integrations, reporting, data integrity, and automated controls.
