Job summary

Copado is seeking a Director, Product Security to define and evolve our enterprise security architecture and engineering strategy in Chicago. You will bridge strategy and execution across cloud, application security, DevSecOps, and IT operations, embedding security into the SDLC.

You will mentor security managers and engineers, lead architecture-first initiatives, and drive measurable risk reduction while enabling business growth through secure platforms and automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience defining and executing enterprise security strategy.
• Deep expertise across cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, vulnerabilities, and security operations.
• Proven ability to mentor and grow security engineering talent and teams.
• Strategic, business-aligned mindset with architecture-first security focus.
• Bias for action and ownership over platform security and infrastructure.
• Experience applying AI tools and automation to security and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise security architecture vision and roadmaps.
• Serve as architectural authority for security aligned with enterprise goals and compliance.
• Lead evaluation, PoC testing, and implementation of security platforms and controls.
• Guide secure integrations across multi-cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments with automation and AI to prevent threats.
• Embed security into SDLC and CI/CD, promoting secure coding and shift-left practices.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Compliance to integrate security initiatives.
• Act as escalation point during incidents and drive long-term architectural improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and grow security managers and engineers toward architecture-driven security.
