Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle leadership experience.
  • Executive-level communication skills (written, verbal, presentations).
  • Demonstrated enterprise governance leadership across hospital/ambulatory access and revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience with automation, digital self-service scheduling, and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead centralized scheduling and pre-arrival readiness across hospital and ambulatory services.
  • Define and execute the scheduling and pre-service operating model for consistent access and reduced disruptions.
  • Partner with clinical operations, revenue cycle, strategy, and technology teams to streamline workflows.
  • Drive digital self-service scheduling, automation, and handoffs to improve clean-claim performance.
  • Measure performance improvements and optimize patient access and throughput.

Job description

Overview

The Director of Scheduling & Pre-Service provides enterprise-wide leadership over centralized scheduling and pre-arrival readiness for hospital and ambulatory services, including appointment accuracy, pre-registration completeness and proactive patient outreach prior to date of service. This leader is accountable for defining and executing the scheduling and pre-service operating model to deliver a consistent access experience and reduce downstream disruption, cancellations, and avoidable rework. The Director partners with clinical operations, utilization management, revenue cycle leaders, strategic business partners, and technology teams to streamline workflows, enable digital self-service and automation and strengthen handoffs that support clean-claim performance, compliance and enterprise standardization.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle leadership experience.

License/Certification/Registration: Not required.

Executive-level communication skills, including:
