Job summary

Backblaze is seeking a Director, Enterprise Systems & Architecture to own the technical vision and operations of the company’s enterprise platforms and AI use cases. This senior role spans commercial, financial, GTM tech, data architecture, and AI governance across the business.

The ideal candidate will manage Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Snowflake and related integrations, partnering with CRO, CISO, and CFO to scale while staying compliant and auditable in a public company environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise systems architecture roadmap across the commercial, financial, and GTM technology stack.
• Own and maintain architecture documentation including topology maps, data flow diagrams, and ADRs.
• Establish and enforce architecture governance standards and review processes for material system changes.
• Define reference architectures and design patterns for integrations, data exchange, and AI workloads.
• Lead build vs. buy evaluations and establish platform selection criteria for AI tooling and middleware.
• Ensure systems architecture supports scalability, data integrity, security, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as lead architect for integrations across Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Snowflake and more.
