Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, hosting, storage, data protection, observability, automation, FinOps, or platform engineering; 5+ years leading teams.
• Experience defining and executing infrastructure, cloud, or platform transformation strategies within a complex global enterprise.
• Strong technical understanding of public and hybrid cloud, compute, virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery, observability, and security controls.
• Experience establishing cloud platforms and governance with landing zones, account structures, guardrails, IaC, automation, policy-as-code, and self-service in AWS/Azure.
• Experience with regulated OT, laboratory, manufacturing or validated environments; biotech/pharma or life sciences preferred.
• Experience with cloud financial management, budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and MSP oversight.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management to translate platform strategy into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise platform infrastructure strategy and multi-year roadmap across public cloud, on-prem hosting, storage, data protection, observability, automation, lifecycle management, and FinOps.
• Evolve infrastructure services into a platform engineering model with IaC, policy-as-code, platform patterns, and guardrails.
• Own the architecture and lifecycle of secure, resilient, and scalable hybrid cloud and on-prem platforms for enterprise apps, science, manufacturing, labs, data, AI, and regulated OT environments.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, Cybersecurity, laboratory technology, automation, and OT teams to align platform services with data integrity, change-control, security, and business-continuity requirements.
• Set enterprise standards for availability, recoverability, observability, capacity, disaster recovery, backup, cyber recovery, and health metrics.
• Lead cloud financial management and FinOps practices, including tagging, allocation, budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, and optimization.
• Build and lead a high-performing infrastructure platform organization across cloud, infrastructure, storage, data protection, observability, automation, and platform engineering.
• Govern MSPs, cloud providers, vendors, and technology partners while retaining internal ownership of strategy, architecture, and platform direction.
• Manage operating and capital budgets, cloud consumption forecasts, modernization investments, lifecycle roadmaps, capacity plans, and vendor strategies to improve scalability and security.
