Job summary

American Express is seeking a senior technology leader to guide the Enterprise Mobile Engineering organization, delivering BYOD and CMD platform solutions and secure mobile services.

You will partner across cybersecurity, architecture, risk, privacy, and product teams to drive modernization, establish engineering standards, and mentor senior engineers while aligning initiatives with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with enterprise scale.
• 8+ years leading large engineering teams on secure, reliable platforms.
• Experience with BYOD and company-managed device ecosystems and MDM/EMM.
• Knowledge of identity, access management, and zero-trust concepts in large enterprises.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, incident management, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Mobile Engineering organization focused on BYOD and CMD services.
• Define and execute enterprise mobile strategy, roadmap, and OKRs across device enrollment and secure access.
• Oversee mobile platform modernization, automation, observability, and SRE practices.
• Direct full-stack mobile and application delivery, including integrations and reports.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, risk, privacy, legal, and compliance teams.
• Provide executive oversight for incidents, platform health, and risk remediation.
• Mentor senior engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams; drive talent development.
• Manage vendor and tool evaluations, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
