Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a visionary Senior Vice President of Enterprise Mobile to define and execute our mobile strategy across BYOD and CMD. You will lead the mobile engineering organization, driving platform modernization, secure app distribution, and full-stack delivery of mobile-enabled applications and integrations with Slack and Teams.

You will partner with cybersecurity, risk, and product leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and high-visibility platform health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical field or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• 8+ years leading large engineering teams or cross-functional programs.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise mobile ecosystems (BYOD and CMD).
• Experience with mobile device management, secure app distribution, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, and production readiness.

Job description

• Define and lead the strategic vision, engineering roadmap, design, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise mobile platforms and applications across BYOD and CMD
• Lead the Enterprise Mobile Engineering organization responsible for BYOD and CMD services, mobile platform engineering, and full-stack application delivery
• Define and execute enterprise mobile strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and key results
• Oversee mobile device management and endpoint engineering, including policy design, configuration management, secure app distribution, identity integration, certificate services, conditional access partnerships, and platform modernization
• Lead full-stack application engineering for mobile-enablement applications, Slack applications, Teams applications, CI/CD workflows, admin portals, automation services, APIs, integrations, reporting, and operational workflows
• Partner with cybersecurity, architecture, risk, privacy, legal, and compliance teams on security, data protection, regulatory, audit, resiliency, and operational risk expectations
• Drive modernization of mobile platform architecture, automation, observability, and SRE practices
• Collaborate with product, business, technology, and operations leaders to translate needs into platform capabilities, standards, and adoption plans
• Provide executive oversight for critical incidents, service health, vulnerability remediation, root cause analysis, problem management, and preventative actions
• Manage vendor, platform, and technology evaluation processes
• Establish engineering standards for secure software development, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, test automation, release management, monitoring, documentation, and production readiness
• Produce recurring executive-level reports, platform health insights, adoption trends, risk posture updates, and delivery progress
• Lead, mentor, and coach senior engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams
• Support talent acquisition, succession planning, retention, and development strategies
• Direct high-impact initiatives within budget and schedule while tracking and resolving dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions
• Champion responsible use of AI, automation, and analytics to improve mobile operations, productivity, reliability, risk detection, colleague support, and production readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
• 8+ years of experience leading large engineering teams, managers, or cross-functional programs
• Deep understanding of enterprise mobile ecosystems, including BYOD and company-managed device operating models
• Experience with mobile device management, mobile application management, secure access, app distribution, enrollment, compliance, and lifecycle management
• Experience supporting corporate-managed mobile use cases, including cellular-enabled phones and tablets and kiosk-managed mobile solutions
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, or comparable platforms
• Experience leading full-stack application teams delivering web, mobile, APIs, Slack apps, Teams apps, integrations, automation, reporting, data analytics, and workflow capabilities
• Knowledge of identity and access management, certificates, authentication, conditional access, endpoint security, data protection, vulnerability management, privacy, and regulatory controls
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring, observability, release management, incident management, and production readiness
• Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, architecture, SRE, product, operations, risk, audit, and executive stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent executive communication and leadership skills
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States; visa sponsorship will not be pursued
• AI‑enabled engineering transformation, operational automation, telemetry, and analytics experience is a plus
• Relevant certifications in cloud, security, endpoint management, mobile platforms, IT service management, or agile delivery are a plus
