Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Director of Loss Prevention to safeguard assets, reduce shrink, and lead LP initiatives across our multi-unit retail network. You will align with the Corporate Loss Prevention team while supporting field, district, and store operations to ensure policy compliance and strong security standards.

You will design enterprise-wide loss prevention strategies, oversee investigations, train leaders, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in multi-unit loss prevention, asset protection, safety, or security management with progressive leadership.
• Strong knowledge of LP strategies, retail security, and risk management principles.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, resolve complex cases, and reduce theft.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across locations.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; travel frequently for field ops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide strategies to minimize shrink and reduce risk through strong operational compliance.
• Partner with field and corporate leaders to identify trends, assess risk, and implement action plans.
• Oversee investigations related to internal and external theft, fraud, and policy violations.
• Lead loss prevention training programs focused on theft deterrence and safety awareness.
• Establish and maintain loss prevention policies, including cash handling and asset protection standards.
• Mentor and develop LP team members; drive accountability and performance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and external agencies as needed.
• Monitor safety trends and incidents; implement preventive measures.
• Lead with corporate LP to ensure consistent program execution across stores.
