Job summary

MEDITECH is seeking an experienced Program Director, EHR Implementation to lead a high-profile enterprise EHR deployment across a large healthcare environment. You will oversee governance, multi-team coordination, and executive engagement to drive outcomes at scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, Nursing, or related field.
5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale healthcare IT or EHR implementations.
Proven experience directing enterprise or multi-organization EHR deployment programs.
Demonstrated success managing complex vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Executive-level presentation and facilitation experience.
Fluency in English and French Canadian (written and verbal) is required.
Ability to travel extensively as required by the program.

Responsibilities

Provide executive oversight for a multi-year enterprise EHR deployment program.
Serve as the primary escalation point for program risks, dependencies, and executive decision-making.
Establish and maintain relationships with senior healthcare executives, operational leaders, clinical leadership, vendor partners, and subcontractors.
Lead executive steering committee meetings, governance forums, and operational review sessions.
Present program status, risks, milestones, financials, and readiness metrics to executive leadership and customer governance bodies.
Direct integrated program governance across internal teams, customer organizations, subcontractors, and third-party partners.
Ensure alignment to contractual commitments, implementation methodology, and deployment standards.
Oversee enterprise project planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, and risk mitigation.
Drive accountability across all participating organizations.
Champion evidence-based and standardized best practice workflows across clinical, financial, and operational domains.
Partner with healthcare executives and operational leaders to align future-state workflows with strategic objectives.
Ensure implementation decisions prioritize patient safety, clinical efficiency, regulatory compliance, provider experience, and sustainability.
Lead discussions balancing enterprise standardization with regional operational needs.
Lead large cross-functional deployment teams including project managers, clinical consultants, technical teams, integration resources, training and change management teams, and third-party consulting organizations.
Coordinate activities across the prime vendor and multiple subcontractors to ensure unified execution.
Foster collaborative, accountable, and outcomes-focused culture.
Mentor and develop program and project leadership resources.
Establish measurable program KPIs and readiness criteria across all implementation phases.
Monitor and report on deployment outcomes including milestone attainment, end-user readiness, workflow adoption, training completion, risk trends, stabilization performance, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure go-live readiness reviews and post-implementation stabilization governance.
Drive continuous improvement across deployment methodologies and operational processes.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory, privacy, security, and documentation standards.
Maintain program compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements.
Ensure quality assurance processes are integrated throughout deployment phases.
Support audit readiness and executive reporting requirements.
