Job summary

GuideWell is creating an enterprise AI capability to track frontier AI developments, from model evaluation to agentic and multimodal AI, while building a scalable engineering foundation for safe production in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will design, staff, and stand up this function, reporting to the VP of Applied AI Engineering and Platform, spanning AI Research, Infrastructure & Platform Engineering, Developer Platform, and Architecture, Strategy & Standards.

Qualifications

• Related Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years' related work experience.
• 5+ years' direct supervisory/management experience.
• Experience leading AI/ML platform, infrastructure, or applied AI engineering at enterprise scale with hands-on architecture.

Responsibilities

• Establish Guidewell's applied AI research function and translate frontier developments into a prioritized roadmap of applied use cases with measurable value.
• Build the AI infrastructure and platform capability for production-grade operation at enterprise scale.
• Stand up a developer platform and toolchain to give teams self-service access to AI capabilities and reduce duplicated infrastructure.
• Define AI architecture and engineering standards to scale AI across a regulated healthcare environment.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and evolve Guidewell's AI engineering and research strategy.
