The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Director of Engineering - Networks in Atlanta to lead our broadcast infrastructure and technical operations.

You will guide a team across studio equipment, post-production facilities, video storage, satellite earth stations, and power protection systems. Lead planning, design, and integration initiatives while collaborating with senior leadership to set the engineering vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership or broadcast systems.
• Strong understanding of IP networks, live production, file storage, and master control.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering vision and technical leadership for Scripps Networks, including planning, design, acquisition and integration.
• Oversee all aspects of the engineering organization: planning, optimization, upgrade and maintenance.
• Lead cross-location collaboration to share infrastructure and capabilities.
• Manage personnel: hiring, performance, PTO, salary administration, and staff development.
• Oversee departmental budgeting and expenditures while guiding project timelines and priorities.
• Provide hands-on support for encoder/multiplexer programming and studio infrastructure when needed.
