The E.W. Scripps Company in Atlanta seeks a Director of Engineering - Networks to lead our broadcast infrastructure and a talented team of engineers. You will shape the technical vision across studio equipment, post‑production facilities, file storage, satellites, and power protection systems.

You will blend deep IP network and TV operations expertise with strategic leadership to drive innovation, budget accountability, and cross‑location collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Ability to plan projects from start to completion.
• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering vision and technical leadership for planning, design, acquisition, and integration.
• Oversee all aspects of the engineering organization, including planning, optimization, upgrade, and maintenance.
• Lead the engineering team and coordinate with peers across locations.
• Direct staff planning, hiring, performance evaluation, and budget management.
• Perform hands-on engineering support as needed (Encoder/Multiplexer programming, infrastructure).
