Ladders is seeking a Director of Engineering for the Corporate Giving domain to lead a multi-team engineering organization focused on building and scaling a mission-driven software offering. You will partner closely with product leadership to shape the roadmap, guide architectural decisions, and drive delivery outcomes across the domain.

The position emphasizes modernizing legacy systems into standalone services while ensuring operational and compliance readiness.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record building and scaling multi-team engineering organizations.
• Co-owning a product roadmap with product leadership.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js and AWS serverless infrastructure is preferred.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the engineering organization for the corporate giving domain.
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent.
• Coach engineers on spec-driven development and AI-assisted delivery.
• Own the technical direction and product roadmap in partnership with product leadership.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Engineering - Corporate Giving to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will lead a multi-team engineering organization focused on building and scaling a mission-driven software offering. You will partner closely with product leadership to shape the roadmap, guide architectural decisions, and drive delivery outcomes across the domain. The position also plays a key role in modernizing legacy systems into a more scalable standalone service while ensuring operational and compliance readiness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the engineering organization for the corporate giving domain
