Ladders is seeking a Managing Engineer, Software Engineering - Remote to lead and mentor software teams in Finance & Insurance, guiding design and execution of scalable, high-quality products across modern and legacy environments.

You will partner with product, architecture, and engineering peers to elevate engineering standards, deliver reliable business outcomes, and drive technical leadership across multiple product areas.

Formación

• 7+ years in software or product engineering.
• Proficient in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x+.
• Experience with microservices and Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and on-premises systems.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Engineer, Software Engineering -Remote to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will guide software engineering efforts that shape scalable, high-quality products across modern and legacy environments. You will partner closely with product, architecture, and engineering peers to improve technical execution, strengthen team practices, and support alignment across multiple product areas. The position calls for hands‑on leadership in designing solutions, elevating engineering standards, and helping teams deliver reliable business outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $193,725 annually

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or product engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x+.
• Expertise in JVM and Application Performance Architecture/Management.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like ReactJS/AngularJS/Typescript.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems, preferably Kafka.
• Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and on‑premises systems.
• CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
