Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a seasoned Director of Energy & Utilities Consulting for the Mountain Region in Boise. You will provide managerial direction, strategic oversight, and technical leadership for the Mountain EUC practice, shaping regional strategy and leading high-performance teams.

You will drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and promote the firm’s mission while ensuring financial performance and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field from an accredited program; 13 years consulting experience.
• MBA preferred.
• Strong business acumen with proven success managing consulting engagements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present complex information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Identify and implement operational, marketing, pricing, and client retention strategies.
• Lead the group to meet targets for sales, revenue, and profitability.
• Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary consulting organization.
• Drive business development in the Mountain region and maintain client relationships.
• Oversee staff assignments, performance management, and change management initiatives.
• Provide senior-level consulting and technical guidance across power generation, transmission, and distribution planning.
