Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a Director of the Energy and Carbon Management & Resilience (ECMR) Program at the CUNY Building Performance Lab in New York. The role leads strategic growth, partnerships, and statewide expansion to prepare the clean energy workforce of tomorrow.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in workforce development or related sectors, strong stakeholder management, and proven leadership of cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development, higher education, sustainability, energy, economic development, training, or related sectors.
  • Experience managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders, funding sources, and partner organizations.
  • Experience supervising professional staff and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for ECMR program growth, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee program operations, participant services, instructional delivery, and partner collaboration.
  • Develop sustainable growth strategies and expand statewide reach and employer engagement.
  • Monitor performance metrics, outcomes, and sponsor reporting; ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Lead a high-performing, inclusive team and manage budgets and grants.
