Job summary

Mercer Advisors is seeking a Director, Endowments & Foundations to help lead the day-to-day execution, growth, and client experience of our institutional nonprofit practice, reporting to the Managing Director of Institutional Partnerships.

Mercer Advisors has served nonprofit organizations since our founding in 1985, and our Endowments & Foundations practice today serves 225+ nonprofit clients across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
• 7+ years in institutional asset management, OCIO, or nonprofit investment advisory.
• Proven success supporting or co-leading institutional mandate wins.
• Experience managing relationships with executives, investment committees, and boards.
• Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong track record in sales, client engagement, and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Shape practice strategy and multi-year growth roadmap with leadership.
• Originates and closes discretionary OCIO and fiduciary mandates.
• Oversees service delivery and retention of nonprofit client relationships.
• Develops tailored value propositions for governance-aligned institutions.
• Leads marketing, events, and thought leadership to generate pipeline.
• Mentors the Endowments & Foundations team and drives talent development.
• Collaborates with CIOs, investment teams, compliance, and finance.
