Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an experienced attorney to provide company-wide counsel on employment laws and regulatory compliance, including labor relations. The role includes managing EEOC and other charges, directing outside counsel, and developing strategies for mitigating risk in employment and commercial matters.

Tennessee bar admission is required if not already held. The position involves advising executives, training staff, and partnering across business units to ensure compliant, effective labor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience with expertise in litigation, particularly employment and labor relations.
• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing in at least one state; Tennessee bar admission required if not already held (reciprocity possible).

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on employment laws company-wide across subsidiaries, including benefits, immigration, background checks, non-compete agreements, and drug testing.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters; handle EEOC/state/local agency charges.
• Direct outside counsel; manage employment and commercial litigation and labor arbitrations.
• Develop and implement legal strategies and processes for employment and commercial matters; minimize risk and align with company strategy.
• Communicate legal risks to executives; train on employment, risk mitigation, and privacy.
