Job summary

GEODIS in Brentwood, TN seeks a Director of Litigation and Employment to lead the company’s employment and labor litigation, regulatory compliance, and risk management efforts. You will set litigation strategy, supervise outside counsel, and partner with executives on important labor decisions.

The role requires a J.D. and active bar membership with Tennessee admission preferred. You will mentor staff, implement policy improvements, and report on litigation spend and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5 years of legal experience with expertise in employment and labor relations.
• J.D. degree and active bar membership; Tennessee bar admission required if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on employment laws company-wide, including benefits, immigration, labor relations, and compliance.
• Manage litigation strategy; assess EEOC/state/local charges and quantify risk for employment and commercial matters.
• Draft pleadings, responses, and settlement agreements in employment and commercial litigation; oversee outside counsel.
