Job summary

GPC seeks an Employee Relations Director (Director Ethics & Compliance) to lead North America employee engagement and retention. The role focuses on employee relations, policy interpretation and application, performance improvement, and investigations across the organization.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Culture, Ethics & Compliance, the role serves as SME for employee concerns, grievances, and performance improvement plans, with a strong emphasis on lawful and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in legal compliance, internal investigations, employee relations or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
• Thorough understanding of HR laws, regulations and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manages investigations and counsels on routine/complex inquiries including harassment, conflicts, grievances and accommodations.
• Stays up to date on policies and assists with rollout and impact.
• Interprets and applies U.S. laws to negotiate and resolve labor disputes with internal counsel as needed.
• Maintains records for negotiations, corrective actions, grievances, terminations and transfers.
• Tracks metrics on compliance and trends to recommend improvements.
• Partners with leadership to revise and deliver corrective action plans.
