Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Employee Relations Director (Director Ethics & Compliance) to lead North America employee engagement and retention strategies, focusing on employee relations, policy interpretation and application, performance improvement, and investigations. The role reports to the Sr.

Director, Culture, Ethics & Compliance and serves as the subject-matter expert for concerns across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in legal compliance, internal investigations, employee relations or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manages investigations and provides counseling into routine and complex inquiries such as harassment, grievances, and accommodations.
• Stays up to date on policies and assists with rollout, training related to policies and programs.
• Interprets and applies U.S. laws to negotiate and resolve labor issues; consults internal counsel as needed.
• Maintains documents for negotiations with employee and labor orgs; records for corrective actions, grievances, terminations, and transfers.
• Tracks metrics on compliance and trends; recommends solutions to improve effectiveness.
• Delivers corrective action plans with leadership and drives organizational change.
• Performs exit interviews analysis to recommend leadership improvements.
