Job summary

The role involves directing policy development, implementation, and oversight while ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.

You will drive strategic initiatives and supervise professionals to deliver accurate eligibility determinations and streamlined processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years progressively responsible administrative experience in public or business organization.
• 5+ years developing eligibility policies for means-tested government health benefits programs.
• 5+ years managing a team of 5+ professional staff.
• 4+ years interpreting complex federal and state laws and regulations related to government health benefits.
• 3+ years experience with large data sets and complex Excel spreadsheets.
• 3+ years communicating with elected officials, media, advocates, and federal regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in developing, implementing, and overseeing Medicaid, CHIP, and state medical program eligibility policies.
• Collaborate across HFS and other state agencies to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Serve as liaison with department leadership, legislators, and community partners and communicate with stakeholders.
