Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits seeks a Dir II, EHS to lead safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities. You will conduct risk assessments, drive safety training, and support incident investigations while maintaining a zero-injury mindset.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regs, experience with hazard analysis, and collaboration with operations to continually improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Safety, Health, or related science or equivalent experience.
• Hold CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, CHST, CSHM, or other recognized EHS credentials, or willing to secure within 3 years of hire date
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and background in incident investigation and EHS training
• Experience with risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis; capability to drive corrective actions and safety improvements
• Experience with OSHA and other federal regulations responsibilities and emergency preparedness planning
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation; PIT Train-the-Trainer certification within 1 year
• First Aid, CPR & AED trained, or ability to complete within 1 year
• Experience in food & beverage, distribution operations or fast-paced environment preferred
• MS Office products and EHS data management systems familiarity (Intelex, Gensuite, Eneblon)

Responsibilities

• Promote injury-free culture and ensure safe, compliant work environment
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local safety, health and environmental regulations
• Assess work areas for unsafe conditions and conduct risk assessments with corrective actions
• Conduct EHS training and proactive injury prevention programs
• Support workers' compensation, incident investigations, and trend analysis
• Coordinate safety committee activities and ensure timely corrective actions
• Perform regular safety observations and inspections; identify hazards and improvements
• Maintain understanding of business processes and interdependencies to mitigate risks
