Job summary

GSK is seeking a Director of Oncology Early Translational Biomarkers based in the US to lead translational medicine strategy across an expanding oncology portfolio. You will partner with world-class scientists, clinicians and KOLs to drive biomarker strategies from preclinical through Phase 1, integrating multiple modalities and ensuring regulatory readiness.

The role requires a PhD and/or MD with 5+ years in translational medicine, biomarker science, and clinical development, plus experience

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD with substantial experience in Oncology, translational medicine and biomarker science.
• Experience in multi-modal biomarker platforms (flow, molecular diagnostics, IHC/IF) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as translational medicine lead for assigned early Oncology programs from preclinical to Phase 1.
• Define and execute biomarker plans that deliver decision-quality data for Go/No-Go milestones.
• Lead assay selection, qualification/validation, and oversee external CROs/diagnostic partners.
