Job summary

STR is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Compliance to lead the development and execution of the company’s supply chain strategy for defense, government, and IC programs. You will drive policy, risk assessment, and supplier due diligence across multiple teams to ensure regulatory and contractual alignment.

The role requires DoD/DFARS fluency, audit oversight, and the ability to implement AI-enabled tools for regulatory monitoring and contract analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15+ years in supply chain, procurement, contracts, compliance, or risk.
• 3+ years leading supply chain compliance, supplier oversight, government contracting, or third-party risk programs.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, federal government, or IC programs.
• Strong knowledge of DoD, FAR/DFARS, and flow-down requirements.
• Ability to manage data and documentation within ERP/CLM/GRC systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve STR’s supply chain compliance program for defense, government, and IC customers.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls for supplier compliance.
• Interpret and implement applicable DoD, federal, contractual, and regulatory requirements including flow-downs.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Legal, Security, Quality, Finance, IT, and Program teams to assess risks.
• Oversee supplier due diligence, onboarding, risk classification, screening, and periodic reviews.
• Establish risk-based processes for evaluating supplier cybersecurity, quality, ethics, export controls, sanctions, and information protection.
• Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on STR’s supply chain operations.
• Lead audits, investigations, and corrective-action tracking; improve documentation and recordkeeping.
• Establish metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting on supplier risk and program performance.
• Develop training and guidance for employees, buyers, and suppliers.
