Job summary

Cafe Valley, a Phoenix-based bakery producer, seeks a transportation leader to own the distribution network and external warehouse footprint. You will decide where goods go, how they get there, and what it costs to serve, reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain.

You will guide a Transportation team, optimize freight spend, lead 3PL relations, and partner with Planning to align production with distribution constraints. The role requires 8+ years in logistics, strong analytics, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in transportation, distribution, or logistics with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to drive network decisions using your analysis with measurable results.
• Experience running freight bids and managing 3PL relationships.
• Ability to build models from shipment, rate, and inventory data using Excel/SQL/BI.
• Ability to present tradeoffs and defend math to senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, IE, OR, Analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation network, 3PLs, and external warehouse footprint.
• Lead the Transportation team and drive cost to serve improvements.
• Manage freight spend, bids, and contracts with external partners.
• Develop models from data to inform pricing and strategy.
• Travel ~25% to plants, partners, and customers.
